Tool To Check your Facebook Privacy Settings

Here is a nice utility that will automatically check all your facebook privacy settings and tell you which ones need to be examined and possibly changed. It is simple to use and only requires that you be open to your privacy settings page and add a bookmark. Once thats accomplished you simply hit the bookmark and let it go to work and tell you where you have possible insecurities.

New Version Of Google Chrome

Google has just released a new version (ver.5) of their ever increasingly popular Chrome browser. From the Google Chrome blog:

Improved New Tab Page: The most requested feature from users was the ability to remove thumbnails from the New Tab page. Now you can finally hide that embarrassing gossip blog from the Most Visited section.

Thousands Of Users Hit With Adware Infection On Facebook

This past weekend saw a wide area infection from a spam posting that encouraged users to view a video. I've warned users in the past to be VERY wary of any video's that look suspicious such as these. One of the best applications you can install to help prevent these posts from hitting your wall is defensio.com. It will block these posts as well as malicious content included in facebook e-mails. New research has proven that your cellphone is a walking ID billboard for hackers. Actually this isn't something that can be patched. It's built in to the network as features. I listened to Steve Gibson explain this this afternoon and was astonished at what he reported.
